Accomplishments as a player: I was part of the “first “ women’s tennis team at Clarion! I’m old.

Accomplishments as a coach: Getting through my first season!

Favorite memories as player: I loved playing all day on the weekends at Clarion. Between the men’s and women’s teams, we would take turns coming and going but there was always someone to play with no matter what time you went to the courts! Marathon tennis!

Favorite memories as a coach: Even though it has only been one season I made some nice memories during my first one. I loved traveling with the girls to different schools, watching them win a lot of their matches, and then stopping to eat afterwards. It was nice getting to know each of them.

Other activities: I play on various teams through USTA and the Pittsburgh Tennis League all year long including several ladies and mixed doubles teams. We aren’t playing right now though. I love to shop, read, walk, cook and go out to eat at new places.

What have you been doing to stay in shape: I try to walk and plan to get back to biking. I want to play singles with some tennis friends.

Message to our student athletes: Playing on sports teams can be a lifelong activity! Never stop doing what you love! Try all different sports! Learn to golf and play tennis!
