The Tiger boys swimmers had a fantastic day 1 at this year’s WPIAL Championships. The boys 200 medley relay of Nick Settembrine, Zach Tomasic, Colton Diges, and Joel Robertson swam the 4th fastest time in Moon history finishing 7th. Settembrine continued his assault on the record books by finishing in 5th in the 200 free with a Moon school record breaking the record set in 1997. In the boys 100 fly, DIges finished in 5th overcoming an ankle injury he suffered a mere two weeks ago, and broke his own school record. Also swimming well for the Tigers today were Tomasic in the 200 IM, Anthony Colangelo in the 200 IM and 100 fly, and the 200 free relay of Robertson, Caleb Kemp, Gannon Mellett, and Colangelo. The Tigers will return to action tomorrow at 10am competing in the 100 free, 100 back, 100 breast, and 400 free relay.
